Principal's Bio

Andre Johnson

Andre Johnson was named the Principal of Lexington Middle School in the summer of 2018.  Mr. Johnson is a 2001 Rockdale High School graduate.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas State University in December 2005. Mr. Johnson started his career in education in 2006.  He has taught middle school and high school science.  He has also coached football, basketball, track, and powerlifting for 9 years at the middle school and high school level before becoming an administrator.  In December 2015, he graduated with a Master's Degree in Education with a Principal’s Certification from Lamar University.  His previous school administrator experience includes serving as the Assistant Principal at Hearne High School and as the Assistant Principal at Rockdale Junior High. 

Mr. Johnson is married to Elizabeth, who was a teacher and is now a stay-at-home mom.  Together they have five boys and one girl: twins Aaron & Aiden, Bryson, Jaylon, Justus, and Jordan.  Mr. Johnson is also a musician at his church in Rockdale.  He plays the keyboard and drums.  He and his family enjoy spending time together watching movies, playing music, playing sports, hunting, fishing, and camping.
