On Saturday, December 5th, the LMS Eagle Robotics team competed in their First Lego League qualifying match against 16 other teams from the greater Austin area.
First Lego League is a robotics competition designed for ages 9 to 14. It encourages them to develop solutions to real problems and challenges, as well as learn teamwork.
The LMS Eagles placed third in the "Robot Game", where points are scored based on a team's ability to program and perform certain tasks with a robot they designed and built.
The Eagles also won the Inspiration Award for great team dynamics and teamwork.

The LMS Eagles were given a slot in the Invitational Tournament for their performance Saturday. The Invitational will be held Saturday, February 20th, at Connally High School in Austin, TX.
